Cookie Policy
Padelify uses a small number of cookies. This page explains what they are, what they do, and how you can control them.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, to remember your preferences, and to help site owners understand how their sites are being used.
Cookies are not programmes and cannot run code or deliver viruses. They are simply data files, and only the website that set them can read them.
There are different types of cookies:
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
- First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting.
- Third-party cookies are set by a different domain, typically embedded services such as maps or analytics tools.
2. Cookies Padelify uses
Padelify uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or cookies that track you across other websites.
Essential cookies
We do not currently set any first-party essential cookies. There is no login, shopping cart, or session management on Padelify.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 sets the following cookies:
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. Used to calculate visitor, session, and campaign data for analytics reports. | 2 years | Google (first-party domain) | |
| Used by Google Analytics 4 to persist session state. | 2 years | Google (first-party domain) | |
| Distinguishes users. Stores and updates a unique value for each page visited. | 24 hours | Google (first-party domain) |
IP addresses associated with GA4 data are anonymised before storage. We do not use GA4 data to identify individuals or for advertising purposes.
Third-party embed cookies (Google Maps)
Venue pages on Padelify embed Google Maps to show court locations. When a Maps embed loads, Google may set cookies on your device. These are third-party cookies set by google.com, not by Padelify. Common cookies in this category include:
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Used by Google to store user preferences and other information, including preferred language, number of search results per page, and whether to activate SafeSearch. | 6 months | google.com (third-party) | |
| Stores your cookie consent state for the current domain. | 2 years | google.com (third-party) |
You can review Google’s full cookie and data practices at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
3. How to control cookies
You have several ways to control cookies on Padelify and more broadly in your browser.
Cookie banner. When you first visit Padelify, a cookie banner gives you the option to accept or decline analytics cookies. If you decline, Google Analytics will not be loaded during your visit. Your preference is stored so you are not asked again on repeat visits.
Browser settings. You can instruct your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored and delete them individually or all at once
- Block third-party cookies while accepting first-party cookies
- Block all cookies (note: this may break some site functionality on other websites)
Instructions vary by browser. For general guidance on managing cookies across all major browsers, visit allaboutcookies.org.
Google Analytics opt-out. If you accept analytics cookies but later want to stop your data being collected by Google Analytics across all websites (not just Padelify), you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This works in most major desktop browsers.
Do Not Track. Some browsers allow you to send a “Do Not Track” signal to websites. There is no legally binding standard for how websites must respond to this signal. Padelify does not currently alter its cookie behaviour in response to Do Not Track headers, but you can use the opt-out methods above to achieve the same result.
4. Changes to the cookies we use
We may add, change, or remove cookies as the Site evolves, for example if we introduce new features or change analytics providers. When we make material changes to our cookie use, we will update this page and, where appropriate, update the cookie banner to request fresh consent.
We will not introduce advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies without updating this policy first.
